Rolling Valley Elementary proudly announces that Mrs. Suzy Penn, Reading Coach, has been nominated as our Outstanding Professional.

Mrs. Penn’s impact as a Reading Specialist extends far beyond her title. She is the driving force of our literacy program, advocating tirelessly for students and staff. With the new reading basal, Suzy spent countless hours over the summer delivering materials to classrooms, ensuring everyone was prepared.

A collaborator and expert, Mrs. Penn partners with the librarian to create engaging reading challenges and helps teachers navigate new materials while connecting best practices to daily instruction. Her problem-solving skills are unmatched—whether finding resources, tools, or solutions, Mrs. Penn always delivers.

What sets Mrs. Penn apart is her compassion. She listens, supports, and empowers her colleagues with patience and empathy. As a leader, she models lessons, coaches teachers, leads book clubs, and teaches intervention groups, making every student feel valued and supported.
